2004 LA/USC Videotaped Program (Level I, II, and III)

We decided not to hold the seminar this year due to USC's system and policy change.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

2003 Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Review Program

Earning the CFA® Charter is a recognized professional and academic achievement, and we wish you every success in
your efforts to obtain the designation.

For the 2003 CFA examination, the JSIP is reaching out to candidates with two hands: In addition to the very popular
    (1) LA/USC videotaped study program
, we are offering (2) a three-day Schweser Study Program for all three levels.

The live three-day Schweser Seminar provides those who have earlier had little time to hit the books an excellent environment in
which they can receive (1) a concentrated overview of their entire course, (2) instruction in test-taking techniques, and
    (3) advice on how the reading materials tie in with the exam requirements.

The LA/USC videotaped study program and Schweser Study Program have been independently produced. They approach the
subject matter from different angles, but CFA candidates will find that they can accomplish their goals by pursuing either
program. The once-a-week-for-20-weeks approach and the all-in-three-days approach suit different individual candidate needs.

All candidates have the option of enrolling in either or both programs, which are complementary in that the former
provides step by step instruction while the latter gives a succinct overview. Enrolling in both programs, you will only pay a total of
    JPY 120,000 for registration.

    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________

    (I) LA/USC Videotaped Program Schedule
(Levels I, II and III )

The programs for all Levels II will make use of the AIMR's Los Angeles societyfs videotaped study program. The L.A.
society has been offering a most successful review course for more than 10 years, led by instructors from the University
    of Southern California.

The JSIP will provide 20 weekly sessions, each on a two-week delayed basis and lasting approximately two and a half
hours. A copy of the official session materials (not an AIMR textbook) will be made available.

The sessions will be held on Saturdays, in a classroom at the Ochanomizu School of Business. The L.A. Societys
videotaped study program for all Levels will commence on Saturday, January 25, 2003 and run until Saturday,
May 31, 2003. The class schedule will be made available as soon as we receive confirmation of the seminar dates
    from the L.A. society.

For those who have specific questions regarding any of the video sessions, a Help Desk will be set up comprising
professionals in different subject categories (volunteers from among the JSIP charterholding members). The
turn-around time for Help Desk responses will be subject to the availability of volunteers. Where deemed appropriate
by the L. A. lecturer, responses may also be provided directly to candidates via e-mail.

The feedback received from participants in previous re
