How do I join the CFA Society of Japan (CFAJ)?
If you meet the membership requirements for regular or affiliate members, you may call or e-mail us for an application. Completed applications will be reviewed by the CFAJ and the CFA Institute for approval.

Must I join the CFAJ to start the CFA® Program?
No. CFAJ regular membership requires that you have passed the CFA Level 1 exam and have three years' work experience in the industry. However, you must apply for membership of the CFAJ and the CFA Institute before you can become a CFA charterholder.

Most CFA candidates want to join the organization after passing Level 1 to benefit from the educational programs, industry knowledge, and networking opportunities that we provide.

How do I join a committee?
You can find a list of committees and the chairpersons by accessing the CFAJ Info link on our website. Call or e-mail the chairperson of the committee of your choice and tell them you wish to volunteer.

Does the CFAJ charge for events?
Corporate presentations and many topical programs are presented at no cost to members. A fee may be charged for educational programs to cover instructors' fees as well as facility and administrative costs. Charges vary and are listed in our events calendar.

What are the benefits of earning the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation?
Becoming a CFA® charterholder demonstrates that you have achieved a high level of knowledge, professionalism, and excellence in the investment business. For more information, check out the CFA section of the CFA Institute's website.
